Journey down to the iconic Felton Road in Bannockburn and you'll find Legends Terrace Vineyard tucked away. Sitting atop of the boundary line to the old mining sluices, the views here are breathtaking! The style of Pinot Noir is also pretty incredible! We have been sourcing from this site for over a decade, and it's a large contributor to the lifted perfume notes you'll recognise from our Nanny Goat Vineyard Pinot Noir.
The area, and much like Central Otago is covered in wild thyme, and it's something we can instantly recognise in the fruit coming from this site. The tannins are a stand out, chalky and velvety all at the same time. This is a most intriguing wine to be able to show in its own right... certainly something rare to see! Site wise, the vineyard is very prone to damaging winds, there are several wind barriers set up but fundamentally, results in stronger, more vigourous vines and grape skins ready to stand up to all that Central winds can do. Limited bird activity means it's one of the few sites we don't net in the lead up to harvest.
